Ice Skating
During your winter visit please take advantage of our ice skating rink located at the Amphitheater. We have morning, afternoon and evening sessions complete with skate rental. Warm yourself by the fire pit while sipping hot chocolate or making s'mores to round out your winter memories. Waiver* required for participation. Season passes available and discounts if you bring your own skates. Price per session: $12/12yrs & under; $15/13yrs & over. All day skate passes: $20/12yrs & under; $25/13yrs & over. Season passes available and discount if you bring your own skates.
Sessions Hours: Fridays 6pm-9pm; Saturdays 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm & 6pm-9pm; and Sundays 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm
Skating hours are typically offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Weekday skating hours offered during holiday breaks. We recommend checking the calendar of events prior to arrival. We reserve the right to cancel skate sessions due to weather conditions and occupancy levels at resort.
Rope Tow Inner Tubing Hill
Experience the thrill of the hill on an inner tube with a rope tow return. Located off of Rope Rider Drive near the Swiftwater Cellars winery. Enjoy a hot chocolate while planning your next downhill strategy. Inner tubes are included with punch pass ticket purchase (no private sleds allowed). Waiver* required for participation. Tubing Punch passes $20/10 rides, $35/20 rides. Sessions are Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-4pm and are weather dependent.
Cross Country Skiing/Snowshoeing
We have several miles of groomed trails waiting for you to enjoy in Suncadia. Trails are groomed regularly for cross-country skiing, and maps of the trail system are available. Bring your own equipment or rent from the Suncadia Club Swim & Fitness Center. We have a limited number of youth skis available. Ski rental $15/2 hr. & $25/4 hr. Snowshoe rental $12/2hr. & $20/4hr. Winter Walk & Wade Guided Fly Fishing
Fly fish the local trout streams on foot with one of our expert guides. The fishing in the winter on the Yakima River can be outstanding. The 2-3 hour excursion departs from the Lodge at Suncadia and includes all fly fishing gear and supplies. Warm beverages and snacks are provided during the trip. If conditions are right, snowshoeing to a remote part of the river can be lots of fun on this trip. A fishing license is necessary and can be provided for an additional fee. Up to three anglers per guide at $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum. A great way to start learning the sport. Winter Guided Fly Fishing Drift Trips
Fish the Yakima River by drift boat. Trips last 6 hours and includes transportation from the Lodge at Suncadia, all fly fishing gear and equipment, waders and boots, warm beverages and lunch. A fishing license is required and can be included for an additional fee. Special winter rate of $275 plus tax for one or two anglers. Trips are daily. Advance Reservations Required.
Saturday Morning Fly Tying
Join us at 9:30am on Saturday mornings for a casual introduction fly tying class. Learn the basics of fly tying while putting together a few of the favorite flies from local streams and lakes. The class is free and includes equipment and materials. It is located in the Great Room of the Lodge at Suncadia.
Snowmobile Tours
Experience the pristine winter beauty and backcountry scenery on a guided snow mobile adventure. Suitable for all ability levels. Includes transportation and a 2-hr. ride. Minimum 4 rider per tour. Minimum age to ride single is 16yrs. Full face helmets provided. Dress for a day in the snow, including water resistant/waterproof coat, pants, boots and gloves. $180 per person. We also have double passenger snowmobiles available - $95/16yrs & older passengers & $45/child passenger under 15yrs. Advance reservations are required.
