SUNCADIA RECEIVES AAA FOUR DIAMOND AWARD

Pacific Northwest Resort Joins Elite International List of Properties

Roslyn, Wash. (September 08, 2009) – Suncadia, a year-round mountain resort community located on 6,400 acres just 90 minutes east of Seattle on the sunny side of the Cascade Mountains, is honored to announce that The Lodge at Suncadia has been awarded Four Diamond status from AAA through 2010.  Suncadia joins a select group of properties in Washington state that are ranked at the Four Diamond level, and is only the third property in Eastern Washington to achieve this level of recognition.

“Every day, our staff’s objective is to provide excellent service – above and beyond guest expectations,” said Ron Olstad, managing director of Suncadia. “The AAA Four Diamond Award recognizes our efforts and we couldn’t be more proud.”

The AAA Diamond Rating Process is North America’s premier hotel rating program.  Travelers seeking everything from simple roadside accommodations to destination resort experiences trust AAA’s guidance and impartial reviews.  Approximately 32,000 hotels through the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean are AAA Approved and Diamond rated by full-time professional evaluators who perform on-site visits at every property.

According to the AAA rating criteria, Four Diamond properties must be upscale in all areas.  Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish, and reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout.  The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.  The Lodge at Suncadia received top scores in the categories of reservations, arrival, check-in, check-out and concierge services.

Guests at Suncadia have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of resort activities including golf on the award-winning Prospector course; hiking, horseback riding and whitewater rafting in the summer; ice skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter; food and wine festivals and seasonal events throughout the year; swimming, waterslides and exercise classes at the Suncadia Swim and Fitness Center; and rejuvenating spa treatments at the Glade Spring Spa, Washington state’s first true destination spa.

Ideal for family getaways, romantic retreats and vacations with friends, Suncadia can accommodate the desires of every traveler from outdoorsy types, to avid golfers, to food and wine aficionados, to families in search of entertainment for children of different ages. An unparalleled destination for corporate meetings,  conferences and weddings in the Pacific Northwest, Suncadia offers more than 17,000 square feet of meeting rooms, ballrooms and breakout rooms in addition to 30,000 square feet of outdoor venues to accommodate up to 500 guests.
