Rope Tow Inner Tubing Hill
Experience the thrill of the hill on an inner tube with a rope tow return. Waiver required for participation. Private tubing sessions are available outside of the regularly schedule sessions.
Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
We have miles of groomed trails waiting for you to enjoy at Suncadia. Trails are groomed regularly for cross country skiing and maps are available. Bring your own skis or rent them from the Prospector Golf Shop located in The Inn at Suncadia.
Snowshoe Trekking Wildlife Viewing
Strap on a pair of snow shoes and explore the Suncadia property adjacent to the Wenatchee National Forest. This guided, two to three hour interpretive program is centered on wildlife viewing, identification of game tracks, and winter ecology. Common animals include elk, deer, bald eagles and a variety of birds that winter in the area. Along the way, we’ll take a break for hot beverages and snacks to boost energy. The quality of the program is outstanding with a ratio of one guide for every six participants. Schedule the activity privately for your group or join other guests of Suncadia. The program includes snowshoes, gators, binoculars, and a game tracks and bird identification card to take home. This is a fantastic activity for kids, families, and groups. The cost is $55 per person and children 12 years or younger are $45. Contact the concierge or front desk of the lodge to schedule Snowshoe Trekking. Available Thursday through Sunday at 1 PM. Trips depart from the lodge at Suncadia.
Winter Walk and Wade Guided Fly Fishing
Fly fish the local trout streams on foot with one of our expert guides. The fishing in the winter on the Yakima River can be outstanding. The two to three hour excursion departs from the Suncadia Lodge and includes all fly fishing gear and supplies. Warm beverages and snack are provided during the trip. If conditions are right, snowshoeing to a remote part of the river can be lots of fun on this trip. A fishing license is necessary and can be provided. Up to three anglers per guide at $85 per hour with a two hour minimum. A great way to start learning the sport. Please contact the concierge or front desk of the lodge to arrange a Winter Walk and Wade Fly Fishing trip. Trips are available daily at any time.
Winter Guided Fly Fishing Drift Trips
The best way to experience some great winter fly fishing on the Yakima River is floating in a drift boat. The winter fly fishing can be outstanding with low river flows and crystal clear water. The trout are typically interested in many of the small aquatic insects that are active throughout the winter months. Take advantage of the special time winter is for fly fishing the Yakima River. Trips last about four to six hours and includes transportation from the Suncadia Lodge, all fly fishing equipment and gear, waders and boots, and warm beverages. A fishing license is necessary and can be included. Fly fishing experience is not necessary and beginners are welcome. Special winter rate of $325 plus tax for one or two anglers.
